The All-Mountain mountain bike tour around La D\u00f4le begins with a short but steep climb to La Ballade in B\u00e9atrix. This path can be slippery in wet weather. You will then arrive in the peaceful neighbourhood of Guinfard, where the first descent begins along a lovely narrow path.<\/p>\n
Next, it\u2019s off for a 5-kilometre climb along an easy dirt track. You\u2019ll pass close to La Baraque \u00e0 Kuffer and, on your left, you\u2019ll be able to admire Lake Geneva and the majestic Alpine range. Once you reach an altitude of 1,380 metres, you\u2019ll have earned a magnificent descent along the Chemin des Cr\u00eates. Please note: this is a footpath, so be sure to slow down when approaching pedestrians. After a descent of 250 metres, you\u2019ll begin another climb through a magnificent forest.<\/p>\n
A short stop at the Au Priv\u00e9 d\u2019Amour hut will give you the energy you need to carry on. Once you reach an altitude of 1,380 metres, you\u2019ll set off along a narrow, technical single track that can be slippery in wet weather. After this magnificent descent, head towards the La Baudichonne mountain pasture. Please be mindful of the herds and make sure to close the gates behind you. A 2-kilometre stretch along a tarmac road will take you up to 1,400 metres. From here, you\u2019ll cross over to the French side of the Jura and pass close to farms typical of our Vaudois Jura. All along this path, you can admire the summit of La D\u00f4le and its iconic \u00abwhite ball\u00bb.
\nA superb, gently ascending single track will take you to the ski slopes of the Jura Sur L\u00e9man resort.<\/p>\n
After a whirlwind descent, do pop into the restaurant at Cuvaloup to sample a regional dish.<\/p>\n
Later on, you\u2019ll reach the mountain pastures of La Givrine, a popular tourist destination in winter. The return journey to Saint-Cergue takes you along beautiful paths that are sometimes technical and narrow.
