In the Vaud Jura, just a few minutes from Nyon and Lake Geneva, Saint-Cergue is a family-friendly resort, popular in both winter and summer.
The village of Saint-Cergue (1,047 m) is a true gateway to the Vaud Jura Regional Nature Park, an area covering more than 530 km². Dominated by La Dôle (1,677 m), the pine forests, valleys and clearings offer breathtaking views of Lake Geneva, the Alps and the Jura. Saint-Cergue and La Givrine can be reached by car or train from Nyon.
Amidst the fragrant coolness of the forests, a network of marked trails has been laid out for walking, mountain biking, snowshoeing, cross-country skiing (120 km of trails) and dog-sledding. There are also downhill ski runs suitable for families, both at La Dôle and in Saint-Cergue, which offers a unique experience of floodlit slopes right in the heart of the village. Many winter evening excursions end with a traditional Swiss fondue in a mountain restaurant, such as at Basseruche, which offers a wide range of activities in winter (snowshoeing, tobogganing) and summer (zip lines, Swin Golf).
