Mountain biking school for children aged 5 to 15

Autumn 2026 – a choice of 4 or 8 courses

Located in Saint-Cergue, our mountain biking school welcomes children from the region of Nyon, Rolle, Gland, Prangins, Coppet, Genolier, Marchissy and the surrounding towns. Our aim is to share the joy of mountain biking whilst helping each young rider develop their technical skills and confidence.

A mountain biking school suitable for all levels

Our courses are aimed at both children who are new to mountain biking and those who already cycle regularly.

All our instructors have completed training tailored to mountain biking (Youth & Sport or equivalent).

Groups are organised by age group to ensure that the exercises are tailored to each child’s abilities. Depending on a child’s level, they may be moved to a different group. Throughout the season, our instructors adapt the content of the sessions to reflect the participants’ progress.

In particular, the children will learn to:

  • control their balance and posture on the bike; ;
  • to brake effectively and use the gears correctly; ;
  • to negotiate obstacles safely; ;
  • navigating bends and choosing the best lines; ;
  • to drive on different types of terrain; ;
  • to help them develop their independence and confidence on the trails.

Our teaching approach focuses on progress, safety and the enjoyment of cycling.

Preparation for the competition

Young people who would like to take part in mountain bike races will receive specific support.

Our coaches will help them work towards their goals through training tailored to their age, ability and ambitions: technical development, pacing, competition preparation and personalised advice.

Whether your child wants to take up mountain biking as a hobby or gradually get involved in competitive sport, they will benefit from high-quality coaching.

An Enduro specialism for the U15s

The group U15 is aimed at young riders who wish to develop their mountain biking skills.

The training sessions include specific work focused on enduro: downhill techniques, negotiating obstacles, choosing the best line, riding position, reading the terrain and managing speed.

The perfect way to prepare for the Kids Bike Trophy

This season’s classes are an excellent way to prepare for our Kids' Bike Trophy, which will take place on 3 October. This day provides young drivers with an opportunity to put the techniques they have learnt during training into practice in a friendly and motivating atmosphere.

On the programme: technical workshops, fun challenges and timed courses tailored to each age group. Whether the aim is to discover the spirit of competition or simply to take on a new challenge, the Kids Bike Trophy offers every child an enriching and rewarding experience.

Taking part in the MTB School is therefore the best way to approach the day with confidence, to gauge your progress and to share your passion for mountain biking with other young riders.
