Based in Saint-Cergue, Tracea is there for you all winter long – whether it’s cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, sledge riding or electric mountain biking on snow – offering both equipment hire and guided excursions.

Cross-country skiing

The Givrine plateau, just a few minutes from the village, is home to one of the Jura’s most beautiful cross-country skiing areas. The trails wind their way through pastures and spruce forests, with routes to suit all levels — from family-friendly loops to endurance trails.

Is this your first time wearing them? Our cross-country skiing lessons They teach both classic and skating styles, in one-to-one sessions or small groups. Skis, poles and boots can be hired on site.

Snowshoes

Snowshoes let you go where the trails end. We hire TSL snowshoes in all sizes, adults and children alike, with their walking sticks. On a clear day, the ridges above Saint-Cergue offer unobstructed views of Lake Geneva and the Alps.

Luge

For families, the sledge hire It’s still the simplest of winter pleasures. Children’s and adults’ models, available to collect in-store, for a day or a weekend.

Electric mountain bike on snow

This is our most unexpected offering. Electric mountain bikes fitted for snow, a small-group ride with a guide, and a gourmet break in a chalet. The electric assistance takes the strain out of it: the activity remains accessible even if you don’t cycle regularly.

When to visit

The winter season generally runs from December to March, depending on snow cover — Saint-Cergue is just over 1,000 metres above sea level and La Givrine is around 1,200 metres, which ensures more consistent conditions than in the lowlands.
