Here at Tracea, we love to treat you and bring you new experiences. After a few weeks of scouting the terrain, your guide Damien has put together a 3-day mountain biking trip that you won’t forget in a hurry!

«I’m a Jura local – that’s where I was born and where I rode my first single tracks over 25 years ago! I love this region and I’m delighted to share this experience with you. The programme is available on mountain bikes or electric mountain bikes.».

The Jura Mountains are an often-overlooked paradise for mountain biking. We’ll guide you and take you on some surprising adventures through its lakes, waterfalls and forests. The routes will be tailored to the group’s ability, from intermediate to advanced.

The Hérisson Waterfalls, in the Jura, form part of a larger area known as the «Hérisson Valley and Plateau of the Seven Lakes», which is listed as one of the ‘Grands Sites de France’. Why not go for a stroll there between dips in the lakes, particularly the famous Lake Chalain, which is just nearby!
Whatever the season, the Hérisson waterfalls offer an ever-changing spectacle, in tune with the rhythms of the Jura’s natural world. They owe their existence to the «Hérisson», a powerful torrent that rises at Saut Girard, fed by Lakes Bonlieu and Ilay. Nature has shaped this lush valley and created no fewer than 31 successive drops, which make up these famous waterfalls.

At an altitude of nearly 850 metres, Lake St-Point stretches for over 6 km across an open landscape and offers the most welcoming view of any mountain lake you’ll find. After cycling a few kilometres along the lake’s shores, we’ll reach the resort of Métabief. Since the 1993 World Championships, the Métabief resort has become a legendary destination for mountain bikers. As one of the first resorts to open its downhill mountain biking area, Métabief offers mountain biking for everyone!

Situated on the border between Switzerland and the departments of Doubs and Jura, the Risoux Forest is a place steeped in history.
Covering 2,200 hectares, the Risoud is Europe’s largest contiguous forest. It runs along the entire length of the Vallée de Joux to the west, for around 15 km, forming a natural border with France. Its size, density and geographical location have given rise to numerous myths and legends about it.

We hope you’ll enjoy this programme!
